Eden Housing to Celebrate National Night Out on August 1

– Events will be held at over 160 affordable housing sites, promoting neighborhood camaraderie and partnerships with local law enforcement agencies –
What: Eden Housing will host National Night Out celebrations at over 160 of its affordable housing sites throughout California as a way to promote safety and build a sense of community among residents.
Celebrating 40 years, National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored by local police departments. Over 38 million people across the country are expected to participate in National Night Out efforts to strengthen partnerships between neighbors and local law enforcement agencies.
“National Night Out is a wonderful way to share our commitment to keep our communities safe, while celebrating our neighbors and recognizing the first responders,” said Shola Olatoye, Eden Housing’s chief operating officer. “We look forward to celebrating this special annual event with our residents, staff, elected officials, police, sheriff and fire department representatives throughout our sites in California.”
When: Tuesday, August 1 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Locations: Some of the best photo and interview opportunities will be at:
- Ohlone-Chynoweth Commons in San Jose from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Cypress Gardens and Charles Apartments in Marina from 3 to 7 p.m.
- Josephine Lum Lodge in Hayward from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Eden Issei Terrace in Hayward from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
