The apartment community, originally designed in a traditional Japanese motif constructed in 1984, was in need of major renovations and in 2014, Eden Housing breathed new life into an already unique property. Eden Housing supplied the solar photovoltaic system and green upgrades to this 100-apartment development for seniors, with stimulus money and California solar rebates.
The apartments are clustered around a dining center, large lobby and crafts area. All community areas as well as the resident’s balconies look out onto quiet gardens with bonsai-type trees, colorful flowers and reflecting pools. Raised gardens are available for residents to use.
Seniors are surrounded—from day one—by people and resources to make their lives better. Culturally relevant events and support for residents is available through programs such as wellness clinics, exercise and movement and self-enrichment activities. Secure parking and transportation services assist in mobility to get out into the surrounding community.
