The City of Livermore and Eden Housing Kick Off Downtown Livermore Apartment Project Backed by $6M+ in Measure W Funds

What: The City of Livermore and Eden Housing are celebrating the kickoff of the Downtown Livermore Apartments project, which upon completion will deliver 130 affordable homes. The celebration will also recognize the award of more than $6 million in Measure W funds from Alameda County. All units will serve families earning between 20 and 60 percent of the region’s area median income.

The City of Livermore acquired the downtown site for affordable housing in 2008, and Eden Housing was selected as the developer in 2018. The project marks a significant step toward the City’s vision of affordable housing that allows families at various income levels to live and work in Livermore — providing stable homes and a more secure future for their children.

About Downtown Livermore Apartments:

The project will provide 130 new affordable units for working families. These new additions will include one- to three-bedroom apartments located at the southeast corner of the Railroad Avenue and L Street intersection. The community will include two buildings, each four stories tall. The buildings will feature a resident meeting space, onsite laundry facilities, management offices, units for onsite management and maintenance personnel.
