Cottonwood Place

Property Description

Cottonwood Place was designed and constructed to allow its seniors to “age in place” within a caring community. 25% of the homes are intended for frail seniors, who are provided with support on site by On Lok Lifeways. On Lok provides medical, social and supportive services in Cottonwood’s clinic and day center. Comprehensive service coordination is also available to all residents in partnership with the City of Fremont Human Services Department and Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services.

The community center provides residents with a place to gather as well as a library and computer learning center to stay connected.

This green community was built to be energy and resource-efficient; as seen in its environmentally sensitive landscaping, connecting the residents with nature through use of community patios, seat walls and vine covered arbors. The central courtyard is landscaped, and raised beds allow residents to grow their own vegetables and flowers.
