Eden Housing and senior services provider, Vivalon (formerly known as Whistlestop), partnered to bring a new senior services center and senior affordable housing to 999 Third St. in San Rafael. The Vivalon Healthy Aging Campus and Senior Housing will include a new facility for Vivalon that will include a variety of customized and multi-purpose spaces to provide Marin’s seniors with health and wellness, social connection, transportation, and referral services. Located on the first floor as well as second floor, the Healthy Aging Center will include classrooms, dance/exercise studio, and meeting rooms. On the upper floors, studios and 1-bedroom apartments will be available to seniors earning less than 60% of area median income at affordable rents subsidized by project-based vouchers.

Residents will be able to participate in a breadth of Vivalon’s activities and services with the convenience of living just upstairs. At Vivalon’s Healthy Aging Center, seniors will find enrichment and fitness courses, special events, game groups, specialty groups, and outreach services that bring people together, encourage social connections, and create new learning experiences.
