The architecture at Walker Landing takes its cues from the agricultural history of the site. The design harkens to Prairie Craftsman style with its natural materials and horizontal lines. This community includes nine apartment buildings consisting of townhouses and flats, arranged around three courtyards.
The development is anchored by the community building which includes a kitchen, and large landscaped courtyard including outdoor seating, barbeque and picnic areas. Smaller courtyards located throughout the development supplement this central common space.
Developed as a pedestrian/bike-friendly project at the northern end of Hayward’s Mt. Eden neighborhood, it is close to transportation and schools. The community center houses offices for property management as well as resident services. Play areas located on the property and the access to nearby parks and tree-lined streets encourage outdoor time. All units also have private open space: ground floor patios or second story balconies.
