Property Description

Eden Housing was selected to develop the site in the City of Riverside under EO N-06-19 with up to 209 units of affordable housing that will be 100% affordable and income restricted to a range of lower-income households. The project will include 59 units focused on senior households and 150 multifamily units with a mix of one, two and three bedrooms, all of which would be affordable to extremely low and low-income households.

To serve residents’ needs, the development will include centrally located community rooms, management offices, mail and parcel rooms, laundry facilities, building maintenance shops, storage, and surface parking. The development also includes common open spaces, such as a tot lot for families, BBQ and picnic areas to congregate in, a bocce ball court, and covered tables for gathering.

There will also be a generous provision of connective outdoor space, which includes a shared courtyard space designed to help foster social interaction between the family and senior buildings, creating a physical space to hold joint events and programs. The building will be situated to have open surfaces and landscaped areas to maximize the ease to move in and out of the property and access multimodal transportation methods to reach Downtown Riverside.

The apartments are on a 4.07 acre site in size and located less than a mile from Downtown Riverside. Mulberry Garden Apartments is a thoughtfully designed development that responds to and integrates the family and senior components of the project. Features include:
