The nonprofit National Housing Conference helps ensure safe, decent and affordable housing for all by advocating for effective housing policy solutions at the local, state and national levels. Its research arm, the Center for Housing Policy, develops solutions. Keith Wardrip, Senior Research Associate at the Center for Housing Policy discusses with host Joanne Greene a recent report, “Building California’s Future”, that analyzed housing construction and its economic impact in California. The findings overall, indicated that California’s economy benefits substantially when a new home is built even with the economic downturn and declining home values.
