Gioia serves as Chair of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors and represents the Western area of the county. As Supervisor Gioia explains, housing affordability is a regional problem and can only be solved on a regional level. The housing crisis cannot be solved on a city-by-city or even county-by-county basis.
