Vivalon and Eden Housing Host Healthy Aging Campus Grand Opening Celebration On February 9 in Downtown San Rafael

The New Vivalon Healthy Aging Campus Includes 66 Affordable Housing For Older Adults, Traditional Medical Services With Coordinated Care, Nutrition Services, And Activities And Programs Designed to Promote Healthy Aging

WHAT:

Vivalon, a San Rafael-based nonprofit that advances independence, health, and quality of life for older adults and people with disabilities, and Eden Housing, a nonprofit affordable housing developer, will host a celebration to commemorate the official grand opening of the Vivalon Healthy Aging Campus on Friday, February 9 in downtown San Rafael (999 3rd Street).

The Vivalon Healthy Aging Campus includes 66 units of 100% affordable Section 8 homes for older adults, developed by Eden Housing. Ten homes are reserved for unhoused individuals.

The grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony will include the participation of elected officials, including San Rafael Mayor Kate Colin and Marin County Supervisor Mary Sackett. Additional speakers include Vivalon CEO Anne Grey, Eden Housing president Linda Mandolini, and Marin County Housing Authority executive director Kimberly Carroll.

The Vivalon Healthy Aging Campus includes a medical clinic combining traditional medical services with coordinated care, social engagement, learning opportunities, nutrition services, a new café in partnership with Community Action Marin, and activities and programs designed to promote healthy aging for Marin County residents.
