Statement on Recent Violence Against AAPI Community

As you may be reading in the local news, there has been a recent spate of violent crimes against seniors of Asian descent in the Bay Area. This is deplorable behavior and part of a trend of hate behavior that we just cannot tolerate. Many on the Eden Team and living in Eden communities may be experiencing significant fear for themselves or their family members because of these events. We all have a role to play in helping to stop the spread of xenophobic and hateful behavior. The San Francisco Foundation recently issued a guide on ways we can practice solidarity to stop hate crimes against Asian Americans, a link to that is attached.
In addition, our services team will be working to help our seniors stay vigilant and informed.
