Eden Housing Promotes Darnell Williams to Senior Director of Asset Management

Hayward – Eden Housing announces that Darnell Williams has been promoted to Senior Director of Asset Management.

Darnell Williams has led Eden Housing’s Asset Management team for two years. He joined Eden in the spring of 2018 after working in asset management positions with MidPen Housing and The Bascom Group. Darnell jumped in immediately to continue building the growing Asset Management team at Eden.

Under Darnell’s leadership, the Asset Management department has successfully led multiple loan refinancing, investor buyouts, and HAP implementations to improve portfolio performance. The department has refined the property budgeting process to improve tools available to the property teams, centralize data entry, and provide consistent reference materials.

Notably, Darnell and his team have greatly expanded Eden’s sustainability efforts with the creation of a Building Performance group. This group has an added focus on preventative maintenance and long-term capital planning. The Department’s focus on sustainability is further underscored by their robust energy and water saving work.

“Darnell’s promotion reflects his success in building Eden’s asset oversight function.  He remains focused on data driven decision making in analyzing portfolio performance,” said Tatiana Blank, Chief Financial Officer. “His contributions strengthen Eden Housing’s core mission of maintaining the high quality, well-managed, service-enhanced affordable housing communities that thousands of low-income Californians call home.”
