October 29, 2025

Linda Mandolini, Eden Housing’s CEO of 25 years, has been chosen for advancing the organization and her lasting contributions to the industry

HAYWARD, Calif. — Linda Mandolini, President and CEO of Eden Housing, has been selected for induction into Affordable Housing Finance’s Hall of Fame. She is one of four leaders being honored this year for their impact on the affordable housing industry. The induction will take place at the annual AHF Live conference, held November 17–19 in Chicago.

Joining Mandolini in the 2025 Hall of Fame class are: Tom Collishaw, President and CEO of Self-Help Enterprises; David Gasson, Partner and Co-founder of MG Housing Strategies; and Jeffrey Whiting, Executive Chairman of CREA.

Created in 2006, Affordable Housing Finance’s Hall of Fame has inducted over 80 visionaries. The honor celebrates changemakers whose leadership and advocacy have had significant and lasting contributions.

“It is a tremendous honor to be selected for induction into the Hall of Fame. I am grateful to the selection committee and wish to congratulate my fellow inductees on this well-deserved recognition,” said Mandolini. “I also want to acknowledge the Eden team and our many partners and collaborators who have shared in our mission and helped drive the affordable housing industry forward. This achievement belongs to all who have worked with us to expand opportunity and create lasting impact through housing.”

Since joining Eden Housing in 2001, Mandolini has, alongside her team, led the development, acquisition, and preservation of more than 13,000 affordable homes across California, while also expanding the organization’s impact through strategic portfolio mergers and acquisitions and launching resident-centered initiatives that extend beyond housing, including financial literacy, youth education, technology access, and senior wellness programs.

This collective effort has positioned Eden Housing among the most successful nonprofit affordable housing developers and owners in the state. The organization has been recognized as one of Affordable Housing Finance’s Top 50 Developers and Top 50 Owners of 2024 and named to the NAHMA Affordable 100, with its communities earning national honors including the Architizer A+Award and a Multifamily Housing News Excellence Award.

In addition to leading more than 500 employees, Mandolini holds leadership roles with several influential housing organizations, including the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition, National Housing Conference, Housing Partnership Network, California Housing Consortium, Housing Partnership Equity Trust, International Housing Partnership Exchange, Urban Land Institute, and the Terwilliger Center for Workforce Housing.

A respected voice in California housing policy, Mandolini has prioritized collaboration—working with partners and like-minded organizations to unite housing leaders, policymakers, and elected officials behind transformative solutions, including securing state housing bonds that generated $10 billion for affordable housing and advancing policies that recognize housing as essential to California’s economic infrastructure.
