Eden Housing Celebrates Grand Opening of Casa Canal in San Rafael

Eden Housing is celebrating the grand opening of the highly anticipated Casa Canal project in San Rafael. Once a vacant office building, the property is now a supportive housing structure bringing 41 new affordable housing options for formerly homeless residents to the area. This repurposing initiative was funded by the Project Homekey and California Housing Accelerator programs, the County of Marin, City of San Rafael, JPMorgan Chase, Marin Community Foundation, Housing Partnership Network, and Wells Fargo Foundation.
The Grand Opening of Casa Canal celebrates the addition of permanently affordable, supportive housing in the City of San Rafael and the many partnerships that made this project possible.

About Casa Canal:
Conveniently located across the street from the Marin Health and Wellness Campus, Casa Canal features modern amenities, communal spaces including an outdoor patio, offices for case managers and green initiatives that promote sustainability. The project provides 41 units of permanent housing for formerly homeless residents, as well as supportive and mental health services. Residents have nearby access to public transportation, shopping, medical services, recreation and employment opportunities.
