Eden Housing Celebrates the Grand Re-Opening of Del Nido Apartments Following Major Renovation

– Preserved affordable community returns 206 renovated homes to Santa Rosa residents –

What: Eden Housing will celebrate the grand re-opening of Del Nido Apartments, a fully rehabilitated affordable housing community in northern Santa Rosa. Originally built in 1970 and home to low-income seniors and families for decades, the 206-unit property has undergone an 18-month renovation.

The rehabilitation preserved 58 studios and 148 one-bedroom apartments across 9.4 acres, serving households earning up to 60% of Sonoma County’s area median income (AMI). In an area where affordable housing is critically needed, Del Nido’s preservation represents a vital investment in existing community infrastructure.

About Del Nido Apartments:

The site’s renovations included: concrete masonry wall repairs, upgrades to concrete paving, window replacements, installation of passive fresh air ventilation, ADA unit conversions, installation of bathroom and kitchen exhausts, replacement of 80% of the original furnaces, renovation of community, fresh exterior paint on all buildings, new landscaping, an extensive storm water drainage system and more.

Behind a gated entry, residents can enjoy the swimming pool and unwind in the community room equipped with laptops and Wi-Fi. The property is also outfitted with two large community laundry

rooms. The community is conveniently located near a variety of shopping centers, including Coddingtown Mall, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and more.
