Eden Housing Celebrates Groundbreaking of The Magnolias in Morgan Hill, CA

– New construction project will add 65 affordable housing units to Morgan Hill –
What: Eden Housing, joined by the County of Santa Clara, the City of Morgan Hill and project partners, are celebrating the groundbreaking of The Magnolias, a new affordable housing development that will bring 65 affordable homes to Morgan Hill. The homes will be set aside for farmworker households with earnings between 30% and 50% AMI and people facing housing insecurity or homelessness.

About The Magnolias:
The site is located on one of Morgan Hill’s main thoroughfares, is accessible by public transportation, and is close to many amenities, including public parks, grocery stores, and schools.
The project will include 15 studios; 16 one-bedroom, 17 two-bedrooms, and 18 three-bedrooms homes. It will also offer on-site amenities, including a computer lab, community room, rooftop terrace, community garden, half basketball court, playground, and more.
Nearly half of the units will be set aside for farmworkers. The project will also support veterans through the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) program, households experiencing homelessness through the County’s Chronically Homeless Direct Referral Program (CHDR), and households at risk of homelessness through the County’s Rapid Re-Housing Program (RRH).
