Affordable Housing Month

May 5, 2021

Each May, Eden Housing joins our peers, coalitions, elected officials, and supporters in celebrating #AffordableHousingMonth. We invite you to join us by attending virtual events, webinars, and workshops aimed at engaging our community of housing supporters, while spreading awareness of the positive impacts that affordable housing brings to communities.

Eden and EPACANDO are pleased to share an update on our latest project in East Palo Alto, Light Tree Apartments, as part of Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County’s Affordable Housing Month. Light Tree is undergoing a transformative rehab that will renovate 94 existing units, while creating 91 additional units, for a total of 185 high-quality affordable homes. Be sure to visit Eden’s YouTube channel on May 24 to watch this video update!

In partnership with East Bay Housing Organization’s month of events, Eden invites you to join us in celebrating the Grand Opening of Reilly Station and Canyon Flats on Tuesday, May 25 at 10:00 am (livestream event, on Eden’s YouTube channel). Located adjacent to the Warm Springs BART station, these are two exemplary transit-oriented communities that provide a combined 132 affordable homes to low-income families in Fremont. As Eden’s first communities to implement an automated stacker parking system, the developments are pioneers in sustainable land-use.

As part of Silicon Valley at Home’s Affordable Housing Month programming, Eden will launch its latest episode of the Affordable Housing Podcast: Behind the Scenes: Affordable Housing Month- Demystifying Housing Policy.
