Vice President of Communications, Advocacy and Fund Development
In her role as Vice President, Daniela is responsible for creating an integrated advocacy, communications and fundraising platform for Eden Housing. She sits on the Extended Leadership Team and works with Eden’s department heads to achieve company-wide goals and to implement a comprehensive and cohesive advocacy and brand strategy across all of Eden’s business lines. She leads a storytelling infrastructure that serves as the core of Eden’s internal and external communications, advocacy, fundraising and volunteer efforts, helping to increase stakeholder engagement with Eden. She also represents Eden on local and state advocacy campaigns, including work to pass bonds that fund affordable housing development.
Daniela joined Eden in 2018 and has spent most of her career in the nonprofit sector—leading multi-channel public-engagement campaigns designed to promote social change, create political will and raise money. She worked as the Director of Communications and Development at the California Association of Food Banks, and as Associate Director of Marketing and Communications for the National Audubon Society. She was also the Communications Manager for Edgewood Center for Children and Families in San Francisco.
Daniela Ogden earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English – Creative Writing and Studio Art from The University of Colorado at Boulder.
