What's Next? Eden's Development Pipeline

The first half of 2019 was busy at Eden Housing. Eden continues to grow and work towards providing affordable homes for residents across California. Eden also continued its focus on renovating and preserving existing housing to ensure high quality housing for the long term. In the past six months alone, Eden held grand opening events for two buildings, providing housing for older adults in El Cerrito (Hana Gardens, 62 apartment homes) and in Fremont (Pauline Weaver Place, 90 apartment homes). Hana Gardens was opened to the sound of Taiko drums (pictured above) and Pauline Weaver, a long standing Eden Board member, was honored at the opening of Pauline Weaver Place (pictured below).

Additionally, six properties celebrated re-dedication ceremonies; Washington Creek and Corona Ranch in Petaluma, Stoney Creek in Livermore, Wheeler Manor in Gilroy and Vista Terrace Hills and Coronado Terrace in San Diego. Images from all of these events can be viewed on Eden’s Facebook page.

Looking forward into the second half of 2019, there is much more to come. Here’s a peak at what’s next:

Projects in Construction - Construction period financing has closed and we are building the project:

  • Alameda Senior (new construction), Alameda
  • Warm Springs Phase I & Phase II (new construction), Fremont
  • Faith Tennyson (renovation of existing housing), Hayward
  • Charles + Cypress (renovation of existing housing), Marina

Finally, there are currently 26 projects in pre-development, totaling 2,171 units. These projects can take anywhere from 12 months to five years to reach the development phase. Stay tuned for more to come from Eden Housing.
